Flu Season

Symptoms of Flu:

  • Fever (temp >100.4)
  • Chills, body aches
  • Cough
  • Runny nose
  • Sore throat
  • Body aches

You might be at a higher risk for developing flu-related complications if you are:

  • <5 years old
  • >65 years old
  • Pregnant
  • Living in a care facility
  • If you have medical conditions including COPD, asthma, heart disease, diabetes, kidney disorders, neurological disorders, weakened immune system, obesity.

What you can do:

  • Get the flu vaccine!
  • Prevent the spread!
    • Avoid sick people
    • Stay home for at least 24 hours after the fever is gone
    • Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze
    • Wash your hands
    • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Get evaluated by your primary care provider, especially if you are in the higher risk categories!
