Symptoms of Flu:
- Fever (temp >100.4)
- Chills, body aches
- Cough
- Runny nose
- Sore throat
- Body aches
You might be at a higher risk for developing flu-related complications if you are:
- <5 years old
- >65 years old
- Pregnant
- Living in a care facility
- If you have medical conditions including COPD, asthma, heart disease, diabetes, kidney disorders, neurological disorders, weakened immune system, obesity.
What you can do:
- Get the flu vaccine!
- Prevent the spread!
- Avoid sick people
- Stay home for at least 24 hours after the fever is gone
- Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze
- Wash your hands
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
- Get evaluated by your primary care provider, especially if you are in the higher risk categories!
