You might be at a higher risk for developing flu-related complications if you are:
<5 years old
>65 years old
Pregnant
Living in a care facility
If you have medical conditions including COPD, asthma, heart disease, diabetes, kidney disorders, neurological disorders, weakened immune system, obesity.
What you can do:
Get the flu vaccine!
Prevent the spread!
Avoid sick people
Stay home for at least 24 hours after the fever is gone
Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze
Wash your hands
Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
Get evaluated by your primary care provider, especially if you are in the higher risk categories!
